SNAKADAKTAL – Hung On Tight (Fractures Remix)

Melbourne multi-instrimentalist/producer Fractures has taken on Snakadaktal‘s track ‘Hung On Tight‘, transforming it in to a slow and progressive electronic jam. Stadium drums have been replaced with a rhythmic percussion pattern which is full of hypnotising tom-toms that sparkle like firecrackers between the speakers.

A combination of organic tones and sliding synths enhance the lush and expansive sound of the original and channel it into the ethereal realm. This re-work really demonstrates the signature sound that Fractures (the alia’s of Mark Zito) is defining for himself and it definitely clicks with Snakadakal, creating a fantastic compliment.

While taking some time to recover from a fractured neck (an unfortunite coincidence) , Fractures has recently teamed up with other local musicians including his own remix of Owl Eyes and a Willow Beats remix of his single ‘Twisted

Tom lives and breathes new music. He co-created The Ripe with Huw Nolan to fuel his sick obsession for local culture and use his experience in digital media and public relations to propel new music in to the broad realms of the inter-webs. Apart from what you see here on The Ripe, Tom listens to a lot of jazz music (weird, we know) and is always searching for the next big thing. Tom is a bit of nerd, he built our website from his bedroom and takes care of content, digital media, advertising and business direction. He is enthusiastic and energetic guy, attributed to his love of coffee and is in a serious relationship with his Mac Book Pro.
