Lead vocalist, Cari Rae, (NOT the Girl Who Must Not Be Named) sings as if she is far from enthused. However, there is something mesmerising about her voice, and the music that comes in to play is exceptional. Blonds tap into that too cool and effortless summer vibe fantastically. Holiday time please. ARGHH.
The duo, made up of Cari Rae and Jordy Asher, relocated from Florida and now call Brooklyn home. There is definitely still a big feeling of summer and fresh sea air in their latest composition, “Time”. It also feels very experimental, but in a considered and polished way. I can’t articulate it exactly but listen and you will experience what I can not explain.
I see big things for Blonds.
Their debut album, The Bad Ones, is out 7 August. SOON SON!
